Beginner & Basic Interdiction Tactics
Participants will learn legal considerations, behavioral indicators of criminal activity,
effective vehicle stops, roadside interviews, and officer safety techniques. The training will also cover common concealment methods, body language analysis, and report documentation to support successful prosecutions.
Officer Bailey is a law enforcement officer with a focus on teaching interdiction tactics, drawing from real-world experience gained through numerous drug investigations independently and in collaboration with federal agencies. This training is designed to help newer officers build confidence, strengthen their understanding of case law, and gain insight into the prosecution side of interdiction work. Officer Bailey emphasize the foundational steps for those new to interdiction, using his own body camera footage and personal experiences to illustrate what to look for, hear, and even smell—in real-time scenarios. This practical approach ensures officers are better prepared to conduct lawful, effective interdiction stops from the ground up.
